Summer 1998: Egypt Summer Project Director
- As the summer project directors in-country, we led a team of 8 students and staff to help train Egyptian Christians in evangelism and reach out to spiritually interested students throughout the city.
- Luke also served as the project coordinator, handling all operational aspects of the project.
- Our regional partnership helped establish and nurture the Campus Crusade ministry in Egypt throughout the 1990's, and by 1998 they had an indigenous, self-sustaining ministry in both Cairo and Alexandria. The Egyptian staff continually expressed gratitude to us for the impact we made in their country.
Summer 1999: School of Leadership in Ft. Collins, CO
- Campus Crusade's School of Leadership is designed to develop staff in the areas of public speaking, theological foundations and spiritual leadership.

1997-2001: "Prime Time" Coach
- Luke built and mentored a team of students devoted to increasing the capacity and quality of our weekly meeting ("Prime Time") to help it match our rapidly expanding movement. By 2001, there were as many as 8 students involved in running the weekly meeting, which welcomed over 400 students.
- Focused on developing student ownership of Prime Time, which would allow for self-sufficiency after we left Virginia Tech.
Fall 1998: Veritas Forum Outreach at Virginia Tech
- Week-long event brought many Christian groups together to work towards the common purpose of making Jesus an issue on campus.

- Approximately 1000 people attended each event.
